For Christian couples, the case will first be applied to the Court of First Instance, Dubai Courts. The couple shall apply for a decree nisi stating their reasons for divorce. If one of the parties agrees to the divorce petition, then the couple can apply for a decree absolute to legally end the marriage. In court, both parties can thoroughly explain their reasons and bring witnesses. If the reasons and witnesses are found valid by the judge, then the divorce will be granted.
